How to be a good guitarist

Actually, no tips and tricks about this. The music industry is just like any other industry that is BUSINESS. There are so many musicians who do not know this would cause them to fail in this hard industry. When someone has the intention of becoming a guitarist, they seemed to leave all the lessons taught in school. Most of them really focus on the skills and forget the outside world and become anti-social. Shut himself in his room and track experimenting for hours was OK but not usually balanced with social networking so that when it comes out of the room and showed the skill, they do not know where to go.

In my opinion, that musicians should be able to sell themselves .... yes, "sell yourself", that is what you needed in this industry so that people notice that you are a talented guitarist who can play very fast. Oh, but what happened? When you are outside the room for hours songs experimenting, you find that so many guitarists like you, even faster than you. What will happen then? You will drown among the many guitarists and not hope that you will be recognized and stand out because you only 1 of the many guitarists who play typical.

So what would you do ???
Perhaps building reference is one of the things that can be done. Open up your mind with a variety of music in this world. Try looking from the side of the music rather than skill. Just enjoy the music, not it's image, because now we have a lot of the music's image is more influential than the music. For example, you do not want to hear country music because you're afraid if someone called you "cheesy" (sorry, this is only an example). Here, you are a victim of the pettiness of your own mind. You "seeing" music...but not "hearing" music.

The next thing you can do is probably self-introspection. Try to look in the mirror while playing the guitar, then ask yourself "actually, how's my style?". You could also write 10 good things and 10 bad things when you're playing the guitar. Here will be seen the truth, what kind of guitarist you are. Do you really great at tapping? Are you good at sweeping? Are you constantly in rhythm?Etc...

By looking over yourself, you will realize that you are someone with some advantages and you should begin to explore the advantages ,and don't think too much about your weakness. Even if possible, make your weakness as excess. For example, you were very busy playing rhythm but weak in playing the lead. Take advantage of your weakness to play the beat and tempo also groove, forget to fill the lead guitar because you sucks ... yes, you suck playing lead, so make use of the advantages of your rhythm.

Remember, you are the product. A product must have a USP (Unique Selling Point) to be able to get the attention among the many products. USP was obtained from the research. When you're outgoing, you have to do research. You will further notice if you have some advantages that are not owned by anyone else in the world of this music. So, do as much research as possible and will see where you can fit-in and that's where you'll be known for your uniqueness. You will be different from other guitarists and have your own character.
