Gibson Les Paul, first appeared in 1952. Designed by a guitarist whose name is printed on the guitar. Previously using a single coil pickup, but in 1957 was replaced by a humbucker. There are various types such as the Gibson Les Paul Junior, Gibson Les Paul Special, Gibson Les Paul Deluxe, and his friends, but the most frequently used (and certainly the most famous) is a Gibson Les Paul Standard and Gibson Les Paul Custom.
The design of this guitar is actually normal, but highlight the impression including classic and blues on their performance in my opinion. If at first glance in terms of color, for Guitar Gibson Les Paul original, wrapped in brown wood with grooves on the body who showed classic impression. This guitar uses solid body (which was originally made of mahogany) because the les paul wanted this guitar has sustain 20 seconds. Of course, for wearing the solid body, making this guitar almost 2 times heavier than the guitar in general. There are two humbucker pickup selector switch with three controllers plus two volumes and two tone controls.
There's another hallmark of this guitar, which is the distance between the fingerboard and frets are small, it is easier for us to play fast and melodic melodies that require long range. This is also has a side effect, for those who big fingered bit difficult to use ... I use this guitar and was lucky I did not see a significant constraint because my finger were "tapering" hahaha.
The design of this guitar may be plain indeed, but the results sound issued truly remarkable in my opinion. A long sustain is the hallmark of this guitar. The combination of solid construction with high output pickup makes it perfect for high-gain sound that has long distorted and shrill-toot (maybe this is the reason why this guitar is the most sought after by guitarist, including me ^_^). Adjectives that might describe the sound output Gibson Les Paul guitar might like this: singing, ringing, stinging, swinging, and "gunslinging" LOL !! This makes the guitar Gibson Les Paul as my first favorite guitar as a guitarist.
Lots of guitar experts who uses this guitar as a weapon to cut the ears of his fans LOL. The guitar experts include Slash, Gary Moore, Jimmy Page, Joe Perry, etc. I also use this guitar and I am very satisfied with the performance of it's voice. I recommend for players with the genre of melodic rock, blues and rock blues to use this guitar, perfect for playing classic rock songs.
My advice if you use a Gibson Les Paul guitar as your weapon during a gig, maybe you need an impressive-looking classic American style, like using a tufted-leather fringe jacket, jeans, and if you need a hat and cowboy boots (Slash replace it with a hat magician as his trademark). As an example of action performance using Gibson Les Paul guitar at video clips of Guns & Roses (slash while still joining) entitled "November Rain", "Welcome to the Jungle", and "knocking On Heavens Door". I think three songs is very appropriate example to illustrate all the adjectives that I reviewed earlier (other than because I am also a fan of Slash) you'll understand after seeing it.
Advantages:
1. Has incredible sustain.
2. Distance between the fret fingerboard and small game easier for us to explore the melody.
3. Adding impression and nge-blues classic on our performance.
Disadvantages:
1. Heavier than other electric guitars .
I hope this review is useful for all of us.
